Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is imperative that the designated responsible person ensures that all employees receive comprehensive fire safety awareness training. This training should include appropriate and ongoing instructions on the necessary procedures and actions staff members should take to protect themselves and others on the premises.
The consequences of a fire can be severe, including loss of life, injuries, and significant damage to property. For businesses, a fire can disrupt operations, potentially leading to permanent closure and job losses. Are you aware of your responsibilities / legal duties of the responsible person and how to prevent fires by control of the risks.
Fire warden and fire marshals are still required by all organisations to ensure they fulfil their responsibilities under the reform fire safety order.
